User' BPD Group

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy, which was specifically designed to support those with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). It is aimed at changing typical patterns of behaviour most commonly portrayed by those living with BPD, such as suicidal tendencies. DBT is a combination of behavioural and cognitive therapy, which was developed by Marsha Linehan, a Professor of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Washington.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy has recently become widely used, particularly in the area of Borderline Personality Disorder. It puts together key therapeutic techniques in a powerful combination to enable people to gain insight into their behaviour and be motivated to change it.
