Structured Course Facilitator, Stockport

An opportunity has arisen for a number of experienced Group Facilitators to join our Community Services team at Self Help Services to deliver 8 week structured courses on topics around mental wellbeing.

We are looking for reliable and committed individuals, who have lived experience of mental health, to facilitate courses on a weekly basis for two hours per week.

You will have good communication and listening skills with basic literacy/numeracy and administration skills. Working both on your own and as part of a team, you will publicise the groups as necessary and assist with the evaluation of the service through monitoring and evaluation forms. You will also be committed to working within Self Help Services’ vision and values and to partnership working.

Mental Health Co-ordinator, Inspiring Change Manchester

Are you passionate about improving the lives of those living with mental health problems?

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Co-ordinator in our Inspiring Change Team. Inspiring Change Manchester (ICM) is a Shelter-led partnership funded through Big Lottery Fund’s £112m initiative to support people with multiple needs. This role provides both challenge and variety with the scope to develop innovative new ways to engage with clients who may previously have disengaged from all services.

Our vision as ICM is to help people with multiple problems to improve their lives and to sustain these improvements by transforming local systems and services, putting them at the heart of service design and delivery.

You will have a creative and flexible approach to delivering mental health support to people with complex needs, as part of a multi-agency team. You will also have excellent therapeutic skills and possess competencies in a range of modalities as there will be both face to face and e-therapy components to the role. You will have management and supervisory experience with the ability to line manage a MH practitioner and a small team of volunteers. You will also be committed to working within Self Help Services’ vision and values and to partnership working. You will be flexible in your approach to service delivery and be able to work on your own initiative to develop creative and innovative approaches to client engagement.

eTherapy Team Leader, Merseyside

Self Help Services is currently looking to recruit a motivated individual to take up a role as eTherapy Team Leader across Merseyside. The eTherapy Team Leader will develop, co-ordinate and deliver the Liverpool eTherapy service that supports people experiencing common mental health problems such as depression and/or anxiety. They will also provide line management support to eTherapy coordinators based in Liverpool, Halton and St Helens. The roles will involve liaising with statutory and non-statutory organizations, reporting service outcomes and ensuring that staff are also working towards and contributing to performance targets. These opportunities are particularly suited to people who are interested in pursuing a career in community work and service management within the mental health field.

The successful candidates will have a passion for improving the lives of those people who are affected by common mental health. Self Help Services welcomes applications from people with personal experience of mental health problems.
