About the role

Are you passionate about improving the lives of those living with mental health problems?

We’re looking for an experienced mental health professional to join our multiple needs programme in a unique role that will help to ensure the most vulnerable people get the right support at the right time.

Inspiring Change Manchester develops new ways of engaging with people experiencing complex needs by focussing on people’s potential, better joined-up working and innovative person-centred approaches.

As our Mental Health Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in this service, working across all aspects of the programme to develop professional networks and ensure timely and effective mental health interventions are available.

We’re looking for a dynamic team player who will provide a creative approach to help us deliver first-class mental health services. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will support a multi-agency team who work with clients with complex needs (such as drug and alcohol use, homelessness and offending) helping them to lead a more fulfilling life.

You will be flexible in your approach to service delivery and be able to work on your own initiative to develop innovative approaches to client engagement. You will also have excellent therapeutic skills and experience in a range of modalities, as you will be expected to deliver face-to-face interventions.

A key part of this role will require you to enhance our community development model, linking in with partners and stakeholders across Manchester to improve mental health.

We welcome applications from people with personal experience of mental health conditions.

This post is funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund’s £112m initiative Fulfilling Lives: Supporting people with multiple needs.
